Life is like a Country song. (Or is it the other way around?!?)

My teeth hurt. I went to the orthodontist this morning. As I sat in the slippery motorized chair, (leaned so far back that it felt like I would slide off backwards) listening to the scary "Easy listening music" (that always means they're trying to calm you down before doing something painful), with one of those ridiculous lip-holders making me look like a fish that has something stuck in it's throat ( :O ), as well as making them numb for lack of blood flow, I began to find the whole situation rather humorous. Until, that is, the person doing my teeth whipped out a diabolical-looking pair of mini pliers and began trying, (rather unsuccessfully) to pull off the brackets cemented to my teeth. Apparently they were very well attached because it felt as if the nurse was going to pull my teeth out along with them (a painful experience! just Imagine having teeth pulled without the numbing stuff!). Of course, they were just pulling them off so they could put on new ones. (So I'm going to continue having my "Celebrity smile :D" defaced by these metal things for quite a while longer). The thing is, there was nothing wrong with the way most of my teeth were, but both of my Canines are "Impacted", making my mouth look like a six-year-old's. If they dont come down with the braces, the ortho will have to basically cut open my gums, somehow attach a chain to the teeth, and yank them into place. (Is it just me, or does that sound painful?).

On the way home we had to wait on the train to go by, and I engaged myself in that most philological (there's a big word for ya!) pursuit of trying to decipher the Graffiti covering the sides of the cars. Other than the usual curse-words I was only able to figure out four enigmatic phrases "BANK, SPANK, FAME, AND "DE!"!!! I thought about convincing myself that the word "SPANK" has been following me through Space and Time, but I decided that it sounded a little too anti-climactic. I'm holding out for a "BAD WOLF".

In the afternoon I busied myself with the usual yard-work, consisting of mowing, sawing my hand (oh yeah, and a couple branches while I was at it). After I finished I went fishing in our lake and "Caught you a Delicious Bass." (or I should say another Delicious bass), but just like the last one I "caught" it got away, as I was reeling it in. Go figure. Next time I'm going to forgo the pole and pull out a "Friggin 12 gauge, whaddayou think!". Or maybe some cyanide. Or maybe dynamite. Or maybe all three.

I have come to the conclusion that my life is just like a country song. in fact there was one I wanted to attach to this post, but I forgot what it was called just as I started looking it up on you-tube. Again, go figure.

So instead, I'll attach this, even though it has absolutely nothing to do with this post. So I guess I'm just copying everybody elses "favorite songs" blog posts, except that this isn't my very most favorite song. But almost. Here's "Botan Anna" performed by Alvin and the Chipmunks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aErdYVl-i3A&feature=related For the regular version go to my FaceBook profile and listen to my "profile song".
