Rain Dances 101

So, apparently this has been an unusual year so far, at least as weather is concerned. Below average temperatures over the winter, a good bit of snow, and rain. Lots of rain.
...It's three o'clock Wednesday morning, and I wake up to an unusualy loud thunderclap. Something in the recesses of my groggy brain tells me it's raining, and I stupidly wonder if my house will get struck by lightning, and wether or not that would kill me. There are lights on downstairs. Yes it's 3 o'clock. Whatever. I pick up some people talking really loud about how terrible the storm is, in British accents. It sounds like the radio. I must still be asleep.
...Wednesday was horrible. It rained and rained and rained. the dirt road got completely covered by water pouring into our front yard, making it impassable. The bridge crossing the stream floated off. Then our basement started to get water leaking through the walls. There went my afternoon. Thankfully we finished up moving wet boxes in time and I made it to youth group.
...And it's all my fault. When I was practicing that rain-dance Stomping Chipmunk taught me, I accidently stepped to the *Right* when I was supposed to step to the *Left*. Lesson learned. Never trust a guy who calls himself "Stomping Chipmunk"!
